Does anyone remember the episode of Daria when she decides to get contacts? What do you think about girls in glasses getting contacts? What do you think about Daria?

Mon, June 7, 2004 - 7:03 PMI like Daria. She was cool. Contacts are ok, of course glasses are just so hot on some people that it's a shame to lose that. I have them (contacts) and wear them sometimes. The peripheral vision is cool, ability to see in rain is sweet, the ability to wear any sunglasses you like is handy, the lack of ability to nap or swim when I please is not. I rarely put them in as a result. I'm doomed to wear my glasses forever. Surgery scares the crap outta me! Now if I could just find a pair I looked good in! Help!

Girls w/glasses getting contacts doesnt bother me too much, because they will always at some point have to put the glasses back on. So it becomes even more of a treat when they do go on. -

Wed, August 11, 2004 - 9:29 PMReally? The pair I have now (later profile pics) is quite similar. I just don't know if the gold round/oval frames are good for my face or how small I should go with them. *sigh* I just stink terribly at picking out glasses. I've owned some hideous pairs.
So I take it I should get something similar then? And yes, I really do appreciate the compliment and the help.

Tue, August 17, 2004 - 12:35 PMI'll agree with the others that people should just do what they want in terms of contacts/glasses. I had contacts for 8 years, but now feel that I look better with glasses than without.
I do have to say colored contacts freak me out. Occasionally, I'll see someone with some not-found-in-nature color, like lilac, and it just isn't flattering at all. I used to know a girl who had contacts that had this weird spiral design on them, in white, and it was very disconcerting, particularly because the design obscured the sense of "eye contact" when talking with her; I could never really tell if she was looking at me or not when we spoke. -
