I'm hot for some vintage cat-eye frames but am wary of going through E-Bay since it's the sort of thing you have to try on to see if it's fabulous for you.
Does anyone have any suggestions in the Northern California area?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Give me frames or give me death!
Tue, July 13, 2004 - 7:28 AMThe pair I had came from an antique dealer in Petaluma. There are several stores in the downtown area if your willing to travel that far. Also in Sept. there is a vintage fashion expo in SF. Some of the vendors will bring glasses and jewelry as well. -

Re: Give me frames or give me death!
Tue, July 13, 2004 - 4:22 PMantique shops are a gold mine. if you do find a frame you like, take it to a shop and make sure they can put perscription in them. sometimes those old frames are not able to handle a lens being installed.

Tue, July 13, 2004 - 4:24 PMif you are also looking for a hot vintage, but don't see anything you like... you might try looking for a newer twist on that style. bebe makes a frame called 'gypsy' it comes in red, brown and black. it is a plastic frame in a cat-eye style, complete with three rhinestones in the corners. :) it's a super cute frame and has sold well.
